linking arms with new friends to cross rushing rivers, trekking miles alongside fellow adventurers, climbing limestone rocks with our hands and knees, shining lights onto others for them to have their moment, and illuminating the space altogether

Upon entering the cave with my group of 13, our lights danced upon the walls of the cave. Everything is connected to another thing. By tracing along, a bigger picture of nature’s immensity is achieved. One crystallized rock would give way to cascading limestones and million-years-in-the-making cave formations. In gasps and amazement, we kept discovering traces of staggering forms. One thing led to the other as our lights mingled and drifted away from certain objects in the dark.

I feel like my mind is like this. I’ve started to triangulate and tie pieces of my stories and narratives together.
